Bottom line
Macgo is no longer a default paid recommendation. The vendor’s direct store currently marks both Mac Blu-ray Player and Mac Blu-ray Player Pro as discontinued. Consider it only as a legacy option when a current regional App Store listing, supported macOS version, and usable support path can all be confirmed.
What is clear from current sources
The Macgo direct store states that Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D are unsupported and labels both products discontinued. The standard edition also excludes media files, DVD, and BDAV. A regional Mac App Store listing may remain visible, but availability can redirect or differ by country. Menu input can also depend on keyboard navigation.
What to verify before purchase
Check the current macOS version, Apple silicon support, website-versus-App-Store edition, refund path, and the disc features you need.
What remains unverified
Hands-on tests are still required for menu speed, disc compatibility, subtitle switching, and multichannel audio output.
